Teagan was born in northern Idaho but did most of her growing up in Boise and the outdoors. She moved to Salt Lake in 2017 when she began her undergraduate education at Westminster College. There, she studied biology and public health.
As an undergrad, she interned at a pharmaceutical company in Seattle studying chronic kidney disease and volunteered at the University of Utah in viral hepatitis autoimmune disease lab—she later completed her honors thesis on hepatitis delta virus reservoirs. Teagan recently graduated in May of 2021 and is very excited to be a part of the Elde lab for the next couple of years until she continues her education in the field of biomedical research.
In her free time, Teagan loves spending her time hiking, backpacking, skiing, climbing mountains or curled up with a good book.
